GregM779: Thanks Greg, hopefully things smooth out.
I'm a little concerned over the heat of the tank right now. With no lights the temp balanced out at 79 degrees last night and this morning. I turned the VHOs on for a few hours this afternoon, plus the heat of the wetroom jumped to 76 while I was at work and raised things to 80.5 in the tank. I'm not 100% certain that the AC JR is correct though. If I stick my trusty floating theometer that I've had for 10 years in it, it reads about 1-1.5 degrees cooler.
But back to the point, I'm concerned that once the halides are going and the lights are running full durations, the temp is going to spike way higher than I anticipated. It's the heat from the pumps that I think I failed to anticipate enough. The headspace over the top of the tank from the lights seems much cooler than the 125 when I was running hallides over it. There is no way I can do a chiller for a while, so I'm going to try a fan over the sump and one over the fuge. As the last resort, I'll just have to hold off on anything light demanding and leave the hallides on restricted schedules until I can get a chiller.
If anyone has something I forget to check or an idea that I've completely spaced, please feel free to chime in here.
