I know "scraping" the wallet. I found out today that the tank budget is beyond gone... Oops and no fish yet. LOL time to get some overtime in.

And thanks!

Overtime...aaaahhhh, sweet overtime. I never had it. :( Mostly worked for myself and when i did work for someone else, I was a manager or commission guy.

Now I don't work, but our store still keeps the cash flowing. I am guessing by the time I am done with rock, equipment etc. I'll definately hit around $15K, so don't tell my wife dammit! And she tells me I better have some pretty fish...LOL...

I told my wife she was going to have to get a second job in order to support her nasty reefing habit, but she just sat there holding a fork over dinner without much response. So I don't think she's going to ante up to her end of the bargain:D

So you think that if your wife came home and you had a single algae blenny scooting around in there, she would find the humor in it?

RJ! Long time no see...

I love the Blenny. Problem with fish like that is in my tank, you would never see it again. I don't think she would find it funny if I told all the fish i am getting are under an inch...LOL...brain damage does have it's advantages though. She has to be very careful what she says or I might pop a vein! --J

rjwilson37: Thanks RJ! I'm hoping the best is yet to come:)

jnarowe: ROFL. Come on I would love to see the look on her face and hear the first three or four minutes of sailer talk falling out of her mouth:D

I have now read the entire thread.. Hop, you da man!
keep it up... you are getting me all fired up!
Once I get my wife and I out of our townhome, the next house will feature a nice tank similar to yours!
you keep posting, I'll keep following along!

It's so hard to record the crap my wife says. I never have the camera in the right place, it's always garbled, or you can hear stupid stuff I say and she sounds reasonable. I don't know how these AFV people do it!--J

BlueTBird: Thanks. I think you will find it a quick read as a ton of the thread is me just yappin and passing time:)

Dr. Chek: I hear ya, I was in a townhome for years. The largest my landlord would let me have was a 75... But it did keep us happy for a long time. Then it took nearly five years to get the *&%$ up to do this project.

jnarowe: LOL, I think that stuff on AFV is scripted. It never works for me either:)

SO I fogot about the volume of water needed in all the pipes, so I'm sitting here waiting on about 10 gallons of RO/DI in order to fire the system up and add some salt. I'm thinking that based on a few math estimations that the system has to be closer to 500 gallons when you add in the pipe, skimmer etc. That or my 100 GPD RO/DI is REALLY slo w i n g D o w n.
Waiting...Waiting... Patiently... WAITING!!!!

With all the money you spent, you would have thought you'd just buy a few RO/DI units to get faster production. I'm thinking about upgrading mine just so I don't have to be patient. :D

Yes!

Houston we have salt! All systems are go!!!!

Or atleast we are adding salt slowly:D

so exciting...I figure I'll need 5 buckets for the first fill. You're getting me a jazzed up, and I need to go work on my on tank room!--J

LOL. I had to crack an adult beverage. It may be a little hard getting up for work at 4:30...
