Adding a Banggai?

As I mentioned in another thread, I love black-and-white fish. I currently have a pair of B&W ocellaris in a 34 Solana and was thinking about adding a CB Banggai cardinal to the mix, just because I thought they might look good together.

But I'm going to be adding an RBTA to the setup in the next few months and I keep hearing that black ocellaris are more aggressive than the orange morph, especially if they're being hosted by a nem. If the clowns adopt the RBTA as a host, could the cardinalfish be in trouble? It is a pretty small tank after all...

I think the cardinal will be fine...but there is a chance the clownfish are aggressive toward it. that goes for just about any small fish though.

I just added a pair of Bangii Cardinals to my cube nad all is fine! They seen to have some interest in the fire fish though!

My buddy has b & w clowns in a tank with bangaii cardinals, and they don't even know each other is their..

I have a pretty large Banggai and their mouths are pretty big I would be afraid adding a small clown with my Banggai been so large.

Bangaii's also associate with clownfish hosting anemones, i think more specifically H. crispa. Doubtful one or two preculs complex clowns will be a threat to a bangaii.

It should be ok,my female bangaii gets in the anemone with the clowns. My rbta is approx 12'' across,so plenty of room to share.

It will be fine. I have a pair of B&W Ocellaris in a 34g Red Sea Max with a 10" RBTA, a 10" GBTA, and my newest addition... A 15" more or less GBTA! I have a WC banggai in with them that is about 2". They act like family - they clowns will sometimes chase him if he get's in their way, but otherwise they love him. They'll even share food with him! The clowns bully everything in the tank but him, so I think it will be fine. He didn't end up like the 6-Line Wrasse - stuck in the back and not allowed to come out for food. So you don't even need to worry. If the clowns are mean to him just take him out. They are dumb fish so you can catch them very easily with a big net and a bit of food! ;)
