Adding an anemone?

Hi,

I have a 95 gallon system with various corals, two true perculas and 2 green chromis. I would like to add an anemone, if it would not create a problem with things.

I know the clowns will not connect with just any anemone, so I am looking for suggestions. One that will be a good match but not do bad things to the other creatures already there.

Thanks, Fred

There is a post on this thread, anemone and clownfish faq that identifies which anemones will host which clown. Although BTA is not a natural host for perculas, in aquaria they often will. Also BTA's are generally considered the hardiest of the host anemones. You might be able to find a tank-raised RBTA clone.

ditto on the BTA. Most clowns will go for 'em, they are hardy, attractive, and typically stay in one place once they settle in, which is a concern when placing them in a stocked tank. Let it go where it wants and rearrange things around it. A tall rock in moderate flow and good light is usually where they end up. Remember they do get big. Mine were 2-3" across when I bought them and now expand 8-10" across.
