I have that blueline angel in my 55 gal qt for a month .I have 2 hob filters and 2 large pieces live rock . and just bought a nice skimmer . also powerhead for better water movement .
anyway I want to add a 5 inch queen angel from divers den to show him how to eat stuff other than clams.
I have the blueline coming out to me now eating pieces of clam as I put them in the tank.
would you put this other fish in with him?

No, for 3 reasons:

1) You'd be putting the Blueline's health at risk if the Queen has a disease

2) You'd have to re-start the Blueline's "QT clock" back to Day 1 by adding the Queen

3) Having two large angels in just a 55 may lead to aggression issues

very good points ,that's what I was thinking also but wanted to see.
thank you I will wait for sure .

You would be resetting the qt clock on the Blue line with any new addition, and exposing it to anything the Queen might be carrying. If its eating enough to remain healthy, and your desire it to get it into your DT asap, then I would advise against it.

That's quit an elaborate QT! But, I'd replace the LR with pvc pieces because LR will absorb any meds. Without the LR, the HOB filters will culture more anaerobic bacteria. A skimmer in a QT won't hurt anything (some meds say to turn it off); I really don't see any reason to use one. A skimmer's main benefit is removing crud before it produces nitrate. Nitrate isn't a problem for fish at any level likely to be seen in a QT.

Too late to edit. I meant to say "aerobic" bacteria. My mentor is probably pulling hair out over this.

what do you guys use in your hob filtres I have those black baffle sponges seeded from my 125 gal.sump . is that ok or should I have bio balls or filter floss?
the skimmer is just to keep it more nice for them usually a large angel is in there .
I hate the rock but thought I need it for bacteria. I put 2 huge pieces from the sump he loves it its a cave for him.

Just the sponges should culture enough bacteria, if left in the DT system 3 weeks or so. This eliminates the need for the LR.
