Adding another pair of clownfish

Hello. I have a 90g with a 30g sump. I've had a paid of onyx (percs) in my tank for a little over a month now. I have a yellow tang, 3 chromis, diamond goby, and an exquisite wrasse; everyone gets along fine.

I have a rose bta in the tank but the clowns don't host, which is fine I love nems anyways.

My question is can I add a different specifies of clownfish and will they be ok?

For example, my brother got this pair of tomato clowns and he decided that he probably doesn't want them in his tank. Could I add them to my tank and the clowns get along? Like I said the onyx pair doesn't host but I know the tomatoes will. Also does it matter that the female tomato is probably 3 times bigger than the female onyx? The male tomato is about the same size as the onyx male.

If not for this particular pair is there any other pair I could get?

I really like clownfish =D

Thanks

Usually the rule is one pair of clowns per tank, regardless of size. There are a few instances where more than one pair of clowns has been ok but it's an exception not a rule.

Tomato clowns are notorious for being vicious critters and WOULD NOT get along with your perculas. My bet is that they'd kill your onyx in a heartbeat.

If you really like clownfish (like I do...notice my avatar and "title") then consider setting up a small nano cube for another pair but DO NOT attempt to add more than one pair to your tank regardless of size and species.

Another thing I thought I'd mention...
You may want to slow down a bit on adding fish, especially if you've only had fish in your tank for a month (can't decide if you've had the pair of percs in your tank for a month or fish in your tank for a month period). The last thing you want to do is add a ton of fish and have a wipeout :(

Ooohh no the fish have been added over time. I'm just planning and debating, the most I do is 1 fish (or a pair) a month, but again i don't have that many fish.

Man that sucks I really would like different types =/

Yep, I agree. If given the opportunity I'd have several pairs in one large tank instead of 8 pairs in 8 tanks :(

As already shared, best practice is 1 pair per tank.

Sometimes more then 1pr is tolerated, but the "treaty" frequently breaks down when an anemone moves/dies, one pair starts breeding, etc. Long term, more attempts fail the succeed.

Even worse, large clown pairs claim large territories and rarely tolerate smaller clowns.

IMHO, it is not an experiment worth risking your little friends.

..... the female tomato is probably 3 times bigger than the female onyx.....
This will result in death of the Onyx pair in a few hours. Don't do it.
