Adding another tang

So I wanted to add another tang into my 125. The old resident Tomini tang went berserk on the new Atlantic blue. Thrashing him with his tail spike and biting him. I ripped my tank apart trying to get the blue out, which was a success. I currently have the blue back in qt healing up nicely. What would be the best method of adding the Atlantic blue?

I am moving soon so I have the opportunity to redo the rocks. So I was thinking about adding the blue first then a week or so later adding the Tomini. Thoughts?

I would be hesitant at adding that tomini back in after that. I would probably opt to add 2 other tangs in along with your Atlantic blue instead

Iv'e read that for, multiple tangs you should add them slowly from least aggressive to most aggressive. Any thoughts on that?

Hit or miss. I've tried all kinds of methods to deter an aggressive tang. I've even isolated established tangs in my sump for over a year to give new tangs time to grow an establish themselves. Just gotta experiment and see. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you just gotta forget it.

I would catch them both qt them separate for a couple of days move the rock then add both in same time- this worked for me when adding a achillies hybrid in with a large black and very aggressive chevron

Catch the Tomini and reintroduce both fish at the same time, rearrange rock work and you will be fine

All good advice. I'm moving soon so I'll use it as an opportunity to try to get them both in the tank. Interestingly enough, these are the same things you can do for cichlids....:)
