adding anthias 75gl

ordered a pinksquare male and a female i already have a powder blue,khole tang,royal gram,yellow tang.black clown,mandrine am i pushing it i also have a hang on outer orbit light will they jump out. any suggestions on kepping them and jumping,feeding and stocking. will be upgrading with in 1 yr have wet dry,uv,chiller temp control. am i going to be ok?

Those get very large (upt o 16cm!!) and a 75 with that many fish is pushing it. I have several different anthias in my 180 and I wouldn't even go with those as they do get big and when they jump they splash so make sure your lights are protected.

If the tangs ever do battle it will stress the Anthias out. As well Powder Blues are known to have ich problems.

I take it this is not a reef since you will be going to a wet dry? If so Anthias are better off in a reef, more places to hide and relax.

If you are really looking into anthias I would suggest the book by Rudie Kuiter "Basslets & Hamlets and their relatives" It will tell you every thing you need to know about Anthias before you pick any up.

I never say this but I would go against this purchase, again just my opinion.

thank you. sorry i do have wet dry wrote it wrong so they will jump, i wonder if they will get out the sides. i think i'll go to the hardware store and find some kind of sides to glue on. i know there the hardest that's why i want them i have o ammonia and nitrate. i baught cyclopeeze to try and get them to eat when they come wed. still time to cancel the order. if im going to a bigger tank should i do it don't know alot about anthias untill i have one..
