One of my tanks is barebottom, and I'm thinking of adding a sandbed. I have a 5gal bucket full of sand, it was previously in one of my other tanks. It's been stored for about 6 months now. My question is can I just rinse the sand really well and add it to the tank without it causing a cycle or would I need to cure it first? Any help would be appreciated.
