Additional Tankmate ideas for a 240g

I think if you add all those fish/eels to the 240g you'd be stocked. I wouldn't add any more. Maybe a small damsel or two, mainly just as test specimens. You got rid of a 7-8" miniatus for $60? I am only about 45mins from you, wish I would have known about this! I got a 4-5" one for $70 but it died in my brothers tank. He was a bully two for a few days, eating everything, then just died several days after he got him.

I didn't have enough post to post in classified's here so I posted on MFK, SWF, in LFS's, and on Craiglist (Where I finally sold it).

No trigger IMO. They are known to bite the fins of lionfish to the point of death. But since your adding the trigger last, it might not be a problem.

yep, been torn over to add or not to add him. Right now I'm a NO. But he is a model citizen in the 75 he is in right now. Never even chased anyone....but he is only about 4" too.

But would the Flame, 2nd Maroon, and posibly a Threadfin work? or would that overload the tank.

I've got an Aqua C - EV-240 being driven by a Mag 18. Rated to up to 350g. And I have over 300lbs of LR. Afraid the Queen will be my 1 big Angel (aka centerpiece)

This is the filtration I have for my 180g and I think it will handle your fish bioload with no problems.

My tank includes a large Sohal, Emperor Angel, 2 Yellow Tangs, Niger Trigger, Maroon Clown, Fox Face, Harlq. Tusk., and a small cleaner wrasse.

I agree with the growth rates that you mentioned for the Trigger (slow) and Angel (1-2" year).

The EV-240 is a workhorse.

I love those Sohal's but I hear nightmare stories...are they warranted?

I had one on my last fist choice but went with the Blond Naso instead.

I've also read stories that the Sohal will go nuts for no reason, but I've had no problems. He's a big eater and I feed well, which seems to work, but I still watch his behaivor.

If you could find a small one, you may be ok (they grow quick). Mine is about 8" and I'm thinking of going to a larger tank - I'm worried a crowded tank might freak him out.
