Adee's new build

how did u harvest so much aptasia? and also how do you keep it from spreading?

I bought LR from fellow reefers, most it already had them growing on it. I don't stop it spreading in any way, copperband eats any aptasia seen in the display tank.

Ron Shimek, ronshimek.com says they will decimate any life in the sandbed in a short time. but the sand does stay clean looking.

True, but for me a shallow substrate is more for asthetics. My only hope though is that this pair does'nt go round spewing sand all over my acro's. Time will tell.

So I did some shopping...

So I did some shopping...

Collected my Regal Angel...got him sitting in a temp holding area in the nursery tank. On the other side of the 'fence' is the Majestic...they need to get know each other before moving them both to the main DT.

Acropora sarmentosa.
They never keep that color in captivity however under natural sunlight it just might. Keep us updated on it. :fun4:
Thanks mate for the ID. It's a wild collected coral. So hope it does hold, so far so good.

You have one of the best tanks I've seen on RC!!!!
Nothing looks better than sunlight!!!!
Thanks mate!

Acropora sarmentosa
Without studying the skeleton the best that can be said is that it is an Acropora. There are over 350 types of Acropora recognized by science by shape alone, though only about 170 by DNA.
