So you use that light I gave you to display your favorite and most prized peace of rock lol but nice tank looks sweet even that long hard rock
 
LOL. That rock is officially gone. My tank looks a lot less excited. I will be posting updated pictures next week when I begin stocking.
 
Why would you remove the schlong. I would have kept it in there and put 2 hairy mushrooms or something around the base.

Neat little tank!

@wett hands- Picos are great fun. I am not the mayor of knowledge town, but I have done my research and would be happy to attempt answers at any questions you might have. There are a few others here that I think have also kept picos, but for how long is beyond me.

My ATO. I got my bottle at wal-mart. The metal piece comes right out, which is nice and the tubing that comes on your standard siphon vacuum fits right over the nub.

cool man, looks really clean! How do you like the filter fuge? I really love that size tank, I wish I could have done a 5.5 over a 2.5 sump, that would have been cool! Thats also the light I always wanted to get for it when I had it too. It was great for the office as it calmed me down many times after taking bad phone calls! This thread makes me miss it!

Thanks Sean. I will dedicate this pico to you(in a totally hetero way). I like the AC70. It has crazy flow though, even with filter, macro and on the lowest setting. LOL. I am going to get and AC50 impeller to replace the stock one. The light is great, and will be better with the new UVL bulbs coming out. It does calm me down that is for sure. It also distracts the crap out of me. The only bad thing is there may be a nereid worm in there. which could eat anything, impossible to know until stuff gets ate. My boss and another co worker saw it when I was out of the office. I pulled up a worm hitchhiker page and had them ID it seperately and they both pointed out the same picture. I can't wait to get it fully stocked.
 
Looking good man makes me wanna set up a small tank even after the other day when I wanted to sell out lol and hey if you need help on your 90 let me kno I will see if I can come give you a hand

Thanks Robert. Picos are definitely fun. I have pico fever. Don't see many of them on RC, but they are awesome. My next project is a 1 gallon kitchen counter pico.

after all the other projects of course....:lol:
 
Dude your pico looks great. It's so fresh & so clean. The water is crystal clear. It looks really good.
 
Well, since all the attention is on who will become the next dictator of MTRC, I will post a picture of my new residents, to bring up the cheer and general sense of well being. Be prepared, they are awesome and are made of win.

Too late to edit my last post, but on another note. My mini carpet nem made a baby, now I have two! I love those things.
 
SWEET! Looks good, they doing well? I really want to get a pair, I bought a shrimp at Fins and Fur at the November meeting, but before I could find a fish for him, he just up and disappeared.
 
Thanks, Yeah they are doing well. I had them in there for seven days before I saw them. Today was day seven and they ventured out pretty far. I think I am going to take the pico home and replace it with a BC8 at the office, and just transfer everything over. I have crazy evap on this 5.5 and my water level goes down more than my ATO can replenish over the weekends. At home I can monitor it everyday. And the lid of the BC8 will minimize that. Plus I will get to use the new UVL T5 retros.....
