I have a 26.5 gallon tank set up with live rock, 1 large base rock, and live sand. I have a powerhead and RENA Filstar XP1 and heater.

This is the picture of my set up.

I would like:
1 Condy Anemone
1 Blue Tang
2 Clown fish
1 Bicolor Dotttyback
1 Scarlet Skunk Shrimp
few snails

My questions are:
Have you guys had any issues with these species living together?
Does my live rock look ok?
My nitrate spiked and is stable now but the algae isn't where I want it to be to start adding inverts.
How can I get the algae to grow faster?

These are pics of my live rock.

None of the pics are working. As far as livestock goes, you absolutely can not put a tang in a tank that small. Have a look here - http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946007

The rest of the livestock is fine but if you are wanting the clowns to use the condy anemone as a host, they won't. A bubble tip would be a better choice. That being said, it's recommended to wait at least six months to a year to add an anemone.

Yeah, I wasn't drawn to the bubble tip anemone because I didn't like how it looked. I know that the Clownfish won't host the Condy. I like the look of it. Thanks.

Hi. Somehow the whole thread is not here so forgive me if I'm off base.

My own anecdotal experience of ONE is that a false Percula was delighted with an Atlantic Condylactis anemone. After about a year she was 2.5" or so and I introduced a 1.25" juvenile and it truly was live at first sight and he went right into the andmone too. You just can't quite ever know. These are live animals and they find a way.

So i'll be the first to say it, the Blue Tang requires a tank about 10 times what you are planning. The other fish should be ok, but most people say that clowns will not host in condys.
