Advice on which Tunze kit for a 100l cube

Looking for advice and opinion on what Tunze kit would best suit my requirements.

I have a 100l cube tank (juwel). The tank is undrilled glass with a 3 inch plastic surround at the top. The surround is flush with the glass apart from a 1/4" lip at water level.

The tank has been running for a year or two and is ok but I would like to improve these aspects:

1] better water movement. I was using a maxijet 1200 and and Ehem 2026 canister. On my other tank I have 3 tunze 7400/2s and want a smaller version for this tank that still has pulse control. I'm thinking of the 7210/2 kit (7200/2 pump and 7091 controller)?

2] skimming. Currently no skimmer but would like the capacity to run one occasionally.

3] filter media - occasional carbon and rowaphos. Maybe the comline would help here? Looked at the filter cartridges but wonder if the rowaphos would escape?

I'm aware of the Reefpack 500 but it's overkill I think. Also the supplied pump does not pulse. Could I attach a filter pot to a 7200 for carbon/rowaphos perhaps?

I'm finding it difficult to work out the best combination given that the tank is small and has no sump.

TIA

The Reefpack is a great set BTW. It may be overkill but it is hard to beat the price for the top off, skimmer, filter, 1600l/h pump. This is probably my new favorite method of filtration. I do agree that the 7210/2- now called TF04 would be a great pump for this aquarium. You could use a Pot Filter 820 in combination with the media container 870. This will work for carbon and polyfilter but Rowaphos might present a challenge but I would think if you bagged it you could get it to work. I really like the 3110/2 skimmer, for the price and the size it is hard to beat. Basically if autotop off doesn't interest you I am sure you could do well with 3110/2, TF04 and 820 and 870. However, if you like the auto top off the Reefpack is a hard value to beat and I would bet your dealer could swap the 1600/2 for a 7200/2 or could arrange for Tunze to do this though such custom requests can take time and tend to make them nervous they will do it- that is one of the beauties of small businesses, I even once got left handed and right handed overflows made for a client and while they were reluctant because it interfered with production it did get done and they were very nice.

Just to let you know I took your advice and got the 3110/2 skimmer, pot Filter 820 with container 870 and the TF04.

The filter now has carbon and rowaphos in a bag sandwiched between two coarse pieces of sponge. Seems to work really well so far - no rowaphos in the tank and the flow is just right. The skimmer has been excellent too - started foaming in a few days and hasn't died off the way a lot of needlewheel ones seem to (due to the crud that builds up IME). Got to be the easiest to clean and adjust as well.

Thanks for the advice - spot on!
