AEFW or something else?

Call me paranoid but I am wondering if this is AEFW or something else. This is a frag I got back in March. It started to encrust really well and yesterday I noticed that in the shaded area some of where it was encrusting looked to have broken off. I haven't touched anything in the tank for a few days. I got my macro lens out and took a pic. I also put the camera in live view mode and zoomed in. I see no bite marks.

This is a millepora. It has been growing really well and has good pe.

that just looks like the shaded side of the coral to me but

Pretty easy to see bites on the underside with a flashlight at lights out if you have them.
