This has been one hellish week. I lost my 75 gallon reef after 12 years. That's a lot of time and money I have put into it for it all to end because of a storm! Now is the time to step back and recharge.

that is very sad... your tank was always an idol of mine in the sps world.....

its good to see that you are still gonna stay in the hobby though

Trottman, how old were you 12 years ago when I first put saltwater in my tank?

Im so sorry to hear about this. Was it the heat that got it? Maybe post a pic of the damage so people can see what can happen if you dont prepare for a disaster ( I am NOT saying that you didnt, just a picture is worth 1000 words?

If you need some sps frags when you get set up again, you can come pick from the tank

My tank and rock is sitting outside drying out. I didn't want the whole place stinking. I plan on selling the tank as a sump. I will scrub down all the rock for later use. It was always near 90 degrees in my apartment. The fish died from lack of oxygen. I don't have pictures of the aftermath, my camera was dead.

Really I mean it, when you are up and going come get some of my stag or acro's. I cant imagine losing my tank and anything we as a community can do hopefully will lesson the blow

My SPS are still fairly small now, but by the time you get things going again let me know if I have any ready you can pick some frags from my tank as well. Sorry for the lost.

I have some SPS frags you can have once you get started again. Sorry for your loss. It could have been worse - at least you still have your avatar. :)

Mike,
Sorry to hear about this! As you know, I have plenty of ricordia that you can have when you get back up and running. Good luck!

Thanks for all the help guys. I do have some corals at fade's house. I would like to go with a 120 this time, it depends on the price. Plus, I think I will switch to all T-5 lighting.
