Aggressive Clowns

Hi all - I've been reading here for a while but haven't posted before. Lots of great info! Thanks! I have a pair of True Percs that won't let their new anemone feed. Everytime I try to feed it they peck & pull out the silverside. I have to try & distract the clowns with food until the aneome has eaten. This has gone on more than a month & is becoming a pain. Will this eventually stop?

Maybe...maybe not. You may have to keep chasing them off while the anemone eats.

you can always give the clowns a large chunk too (small enough to bite but to big to swallow whole) that will keep them busy while the anem feeds.

You can place a strawberry basket over the anemone while it's eating will keep the clowns away.

Thanks for the responses. I'd rather not put anything in the tank if I don't have to, I guess I'll keep chasing them off until they get the idea or not ;-). When their nem closes up the female goes bonkers trying to pry her way in...the male doesn't seem to care. They're great little fish to just sit & watch.
