it is a home made tank and whoever made it didnt do a great job on the cuttung of the glass or the seams. it is structurally sound, just didnt look good enough to use without covering the seams and top edge. i wasnt planning on the molding until i got the tank home.

That tank with no cross bracing scares me! How thick is the glass?

it is 3/4" glass. it was running for a long time without issue before i bought it, hopefully it will be ok

local fs was supposed to order some eggs for me yesterday - udate soon hopefully

well, the new led bulbs came in and they are barely brighter than the others, but they are a little more blue in color.

also, my captive laid cuttle eggs are on the way should have an update with pics tomorrow...

ok, here they are

here is one with a light behind it. not the best pic, but you can see the cuttle on the right and the brighter oval yolk sac on the left. they are easy to see in person

cool. how many are there? what kind of survival rate do you expect?

there are 12 eggs. i am hoping for at least 50%, but more would be great

Awesome.. What's the gestation period? Do you have an idea of when they should be hatching?

it is about 2 to 3 weeks. some of these eggs seem very near hatch date (almost no yolk sac when candled) and some seem at least a week or longer from hatch.
