Aggressive wrasse?

I added my last two fish a few days ago (Thur).
One is a Coral Beauty Angel and the other is a very colorful Lubbocks Wrasse.
Intially they both hid in the rocks but soon came out to explore and were getting along fine until my Adorned Wrasse came out from his nap in the sand. It began charging the Lubbocks every time it came out from hiding. It also keeps going over to the hole the Lubbocks is hiding in trying to get to it. The lubbocks gets out and swims all over as long as the Adorned is under the sand.
I was under the pression that both of these type of wrasses are peaceful so I am confused by this behaivior. The adorned does not bother any of my other fish. Any feedback would be appreciated

C. adornatus does not sleep in the sand. All fairy wrasses form a mucous cocoon. However that can be one very aggressive fairy wrasse towards other fairy wrasses. What sized tank?

Thanks for you reply, I have a 29 Gallon Nano Cube and the one that is the aggressor and sleeps in the sand is Halichoeres cosmetus "Adorned Wrasse".
It was in first and gets along with all others in the tank. For some reason it does not like the new Lubbock's.
I read and was advised by a few that both wrasses were very peaceful so thats why I asked to see if there are any ideas for the behavior.

Your tank is too small to house both of those wrasses. You'll have to return one of them or you will end up with a dead wrasse. Likely the Lubbocks if the adorned is already harrasing it. Lubbocks require a minimum tank size of 50 gallons.

That is why I use the real name not the common name; there is often a misunderstanding of what animal is involved. See the posting above for the appropriate recommendation.
