Anyone had any problems with lockups? I came home from a long trip away, 19 days, and the light was stuck at about 5%. Thankfully it was only one of the blue channels that was on so it really didn't hurt anything. If anything it probably kept any access algae at bay.
Anyways, to get the light to reset was quite a pain. Unplugging and restarting really didn't do anything. I had to disconnect it from the director, power down the director and restart everything to get it to reconnect. Its a bit weird...

I was having issues with it locking up. It wasn't losing power, but either overnight with no lights or just before it should go off it would lock-up and stop controlling the lights. I contacted AI and it seems all issues are power related, or lack there of. I swapped out their power supply with an iPad USB charger I had an another USB cable and it's been fine since. It seems when the director has to do various functions especially multiple functions at once (ie weather, ramp, lunar) it draws more power, and if you are using wifi that little dongle also really needs power they said. Hopefully they start putting in a better power supply.

a lot of issues with AI wireless controller were power supply related too. Lets hope they learned the lesson and will get better supplier/properly size them from now on.

I have had no issues with my app.
I use it only a couple times a week. Usually when I am going to be home late from work and I want the lights to stay on so I can feed the fish when I arrive.

Are there any others here that did the SOL-> VEGA upgrade? I have been having major issues with my Director lately and was wondering if it had anything to do with the fact my lights are not true VEGA's.
Been having major problems getting the director to do anything with my lights. It will discover them but will not control them in anyway. When I go to layout ad double click the light icon it shows the light but doesn't show any of the pucks.
I've tried completely resetting the director, re-flashing the firmware on the lights multiple times but haven't had any luck.
My corals are starting to look like crap and I'm getting very concerned.

I did the upgrade and my lights are working great only issue I had was that my power cord that was on the AI SOL was not compatible with the vega so I had to order another power supply. When your lights are discovered have you drag it over to the grid
are you lights coming on then turning off then turning on and so on if so then you need a new powersupply

I just noticed that my director is not allowing cloud sweeps.... Just ramp up then down.... Anyone else have this issue? My old controller did cloud sweeps.... Director can't?

Once you enable weather it takes over the cloud settings and doesn't let you make changes.
Correction, that's just clouds, not cloud sweeps, hopefully it will be added in the next release, whenever that will be

Anyone else finding their Director jumps ahead an hour?
Have had the Director since around beginning of last December and really no problems, works great other than this time skipping. It happened maybe 5 times in total, 3 before the FW upgrade but a couple times since I upgraded last week.
I'll only notice it because the lights have started to ramp down earlier than normal and when I log in the time has advanced an hour. Unit is set to local time same as the computer, thought maybe something to do with daylight savings. I'll adjust back to correct time, save, but it keeps happening. Rarely to I connect to the Director, about the only time I do is to correct the time.
Any ideas?
