AI Director Beta - Who got picked? Lets talk 'Director'!

A little trick for those of you setting up the director. I have a tall tank so to reach my lights to push the red button is a pain. Here is how you get past that.

First turn all the lights off with the wireless controller you are currently using. On the same controller go into setup and select "setup lights" then select "wireless" when you hit the "OK" button it will disconnect all the lights and then start a searching for lights. As soon as it starts searching for lights unplug that controller. Now the indicator LED on all your lights will be red and you will be ready to connect the director.

Here's a repost of some of the pics for those who could not see them.

I've gotten it setup on my computer but had some problems connecting wirelessly. I currently have it hard wired into my router which is in the basement and the lights are upstairs. I have no problems connecting to the lights so the director doesn't need to be close to the lights for those wondering.

Problem ... can't connect wirelessly. Only one access point shows up and it's a neighbor's. Thoughts? Who can we contact to troubleshoot?

When you double click on the lights in the layout screen you get a popup. Among other things it displays a temp. It seemed high (380-420 depending on the light), so I asked AI and got this response.

"These values are correct; they represent counts, not temperature. Lower means higher. It is for AI diagnostics only."

So no worries it is not really that high.

This maybe cause your internet WiFi is security blocked. I have mine setup that it won't even show up if some one searches for it. check your routers security settings

I had mine setup direct to the router so I tested it out with wireless. I only see my 2.4GHz network and not my 5.0GHz network. Could it be that you only have a 5.0GHz WiFi?

No, I have two networks set up ... one 5GHz and on 2.4GHz. It is not seeing either of them ;-(
