AI Director Beta - Who got picked? Lets talk 'Director'!

Is there a away to make sure you have the latest firmware in the Director, itself (not the lights)?

I currently show I'm running ai-director 1.016-615, but nowhere on the AI website does it tell me what the current version is...or how to update. Maybe I'm missing it?

If you have old (new) wireless controller still plugged in, don't forget to change it from Wireless Channel N to Wired Channel N. I had a lot of issues until I realized wireless controller was sometimes stealing lights from director.

I had the exact same issue. I have 3 fixtures and it recognized only 2 of them. I updated latest firmware and made sure fixture light was red.

I did this 5 or 6 times and finally it worked and has worked flawlessly since. I don't know what I did to fix it

WOW...same. Got all 3 working. Not sure what fixed it. I kept trying to change the wireless channel and also update the firmware on all lights. Finally, they all were discovered and I was able to add them to the layout.

Now, all seems to be working.

Still not sure if I should stay with the Director or try the Neptune AWM module. One way or another, I sure do want the lights accessible via cloud though.
 
My director works really well when I have the stock puck installed. I think it is just an issue with this powerpuck. My lights could be discovered but when I doubled clicked on it no leds showed up on the vega display.

I just wanted to post my Vega Color Settings using the director.

I have a shallow reef tank with three units in parallel.
Water depth is only 8' deep.

My Vega fixtures are approx 24" ALW.

Here are max outputs of my color LEDs
White: 20%
Royal Blue: 80%
Blue: 80%
Deep Blue:80%
Green: 15%
Red: 15%

The intensities rise slowly like a curve except for the white LEDs. They rise slowly to 20% and then remain 20% between 1pm and 4 pm and then descend slowly.

My AWM module shipped today. Does anyone have one controlling there AI's? Can it be used without Apex Fusion?
 
I just found the Neptune instructions for the AWM module. Looks pretty simple once you set profiles you can put the profile names in your program. Most of the programs are ramp up and down based on times of day or day of week. Looks like the weather function is pretty cool too. I want to be able to turn on a storm from my phone.
 
It list connection to the internet, check the power cord. On mine if the cord gets moved or unplugged accidentally it looses power shortly and looses connection. Unplug and reconnect.

Mines been flawless but then only had 2 weeks. Wondering though AI response to your complaints, have they offered to replace?
 
Who knows, constant drops in connections and constant errors with the lights/communications.

I assume this will eventually auto update? I see no option to update firmware and I noticed my weather option says "coming soon" I hope maybe I just have old firmware? How do I update it with no option?
 
when first plugged in weather option not available, after about 1/2 hour got the prompt for the update
