If the cable is GHL then the chances of it being U/S are remote.

Have you selected the right lamp type old or new?

If the cable is fine and you have selected the correct lamp type as above then we would have to look at the RS232 set up. First question in this instance would be can you connect to the PC over RS232 whether through adapter or direct.

Best thing to do is drop me an email and we can continue on from there if required

I have gotten the AI cable from Aquaillumination. it worked flawlessly.
I am happy at the same time, sad to think about how much time I spent to get to this point. it's been 5months with numbers of phone calls and 20 posts here and there. and tried another cable and Controller from Progressivereef before. thanks Gareth for keep sending me to try out. Now I see that there are two different cables.The cable from AI is black which works and the Gray or white cables that i tried, didn't work. so just in case, if you guys have the same problem, check the color of the cable.

now i am going to forget about it and enjoy the effects.

Wow, I'm really glad you finally got it to work. In a week you'll forget all about it, and be enjoying the awesomeness that is the AI LED/Profilux combo.

GHL cables are black and we strongly advise this is the cable to use. The reason being we can then trouble shoot and support much easier when all equipment is GHL for the above reason.

I am really pleased all is up and running, now you too can convince the neigbours you are having all night silent parties with perpetual flashes from the lightening effect

I am telling the truth. two of them I tried were Grey ones

don't get me wrong I love Profilux.

No issues or worries, its just all the cables we have got are black. I just sent 25 to Progressive reef and still have about the same amount here, all black in GHL labelled boxes.

But I will contact all dealers about grey cables. But I do not think they are original GHL. And thanks for the heads up this is important info shared.
