I've only got a few fish and a few crabs in my tank atm, and have my blues and whites at around 6%, purples at 2%, green @ 2%, and 0 red. at these levels can I expect any bad/ugly algae (no LR, tank started as dry sand/rock only so coraline isnt expected)

nope, the cycle's done, I just have the lights at that level cause it looks nice, not too bright, and everything stands out when I get some corals I'll crank it up =D

Whoops my bad didn't see your reply
Is this better? Lights are at peak for the most part right now

Any suggestions? Been thinking about turning the UV up, still trying to decide on a good location for weather, the French Polynesia has been cloudy daily for the last 2 weeks lol.
Here's the timings

reposting for tapatalk fix

I have a noticed to upgrade a new firmware rev 2.0.41-r0 for the a Director. Has anyone updated the last f/w rev for the Director yet?

I've done mine also.
like to do a quick poll ☺
Max white setting and photo period
I personally have dropped my white to 25% - 12hr photo period

The past two months, I have been having issues with my Hydra 52 freezing 1-2 times a month. My Director seems to be running fine when it happens, but the lights just freeze on the last setting they received and will not take any other commands until I power cycle the light unit. Once the light unit completes the power cycle, it goes back to taking commands from the Director like normal. I have tried setting the Hydra 52 back to factory firmware and letting it update back to the current firmware version with no improvements.

Anyone experience an issue like this with their Hydra?

I had a similar experience but no other issues after a boot-reload and a firmware update to all the lights/director.

Have you discussed it with AI? They might be able to remotely access and troubleshoot the problem.

AI just got back to me and said it's a known rare issue with the lights. Depending on the type of wireless interference, the lights enter a "bad" state (freeze) which cant be recovered from without a power cycle. They recommended finding a different wireless channel that might help prevent it but depending on the interference/location it's not guaranteed.

so I've been running 3 hydras over my 150 since they've come out now, and iv finally seemed to get the perfect settings for all of my corals from all my SPS to my frogspawns and LPS corals but i can not for the life of me keep a simple trumpet coral I've tried 3 frags 3 different times and in a matter of one day even starting it in a shaded area it looses all flesh on outside then just seems to stay that way. anyone else have issues keeping trumpets with these lights? or maybe i have a different issue, but it seems to be the only coral so far that does it.

Make sure there isn't a microwave oven within 6 ft of the lights or the director. Microwave ovens destroy wireless signals.
