AI Hydra Settings Thread

Im also trying out these settings on my hydra and it looks promosing. looks like a nice path between blue and white :bounce2:

Copied these settings for my 30cube. 12" off the water. Currently running them at 60% acclimation for a 3 month period. Hopefully things turn out well.

Now you are making me think I have my lights too close. I have a 37 gallon which is 22 inches deep and have one Hyrda that is about 9 inches above the water.

Should I raise it higher? I basically copied Sonicboom's settings.

I would stick to Sonicboom's settings he has been having great success over a long period of time. just my two cents.

Thanks for recommending my settings, please read through and see how I achieved them, started with acclimation mode, then weather settings when I received the director, now that I have them set, it is easier for me to just move a new frag down or back and hi up where there is minimal light and I don't slow the other corals growth.

This post is full of great ideas and info and makes for a great read.

Is there anyway to go back and adjust your color settings once you've saved them ? Or do you have to start over with a whole new setting each time ?

Also for some reason I can't get the lunar settings to work. I've got my royal blues set from 5-100. However I do have my "day" lights to end at 10pm and the lunar set to come on at 10pm. Could that be the problem ?

Yes you can change the settings at any time after being saved. Currently there is a new moon so the lights would have been off last night. I believe tonight the lunar settings should kick on St their lowest settings. I would also try the dark blue instead of royal blue if it's too bright.

These are my current settings

Sonicboom are you using an Apex? Or the Director?

How exactly do you go back and adjust the settings ?

Thanks for the info on the moon.

On the controller, if I remember you can either pick a region, sunrise sunset and intensities and be done. On the director under effects, you can choose to enable the weather or manual mode and set your intensities. An easy way is to turn on the weather feature then click save so you have your sunrise and sunset and intensities, then turn it off and then you can decide on clouds and tweak it however you want.

I'm on the director.
Once I have everything set to the intinisity i want by using the sliders like your picture. The only way to readjust is to go into manual mode and adjust the points for each individual color? I can't get back to the sliders that have all seven colors in a group like in your picture.

You should still be able to adjust the intensities. Go to effects and enable weather, set zip code and set intensities, save. You can then go back to same place and adjust sliders.

Will trade someone straight up for my director... Trade my director for the new version of the normal controller. I have too much interference with wireless divides for my director to work properly. Anyone interested?

Already tried changing the channels or going wired?
