AI Hydra Settings Thread

IMO if you are coming from T5's I would acclimate acclimate acclimate start slow it may save some corals.

my hammers look like they are dying...stringy stuff coming out of them i turned my numbers down too...white 20, violet 40, red 20, green 20, blue 40, royal 40, UV 20, and i did a 30 day acclimate at 30%.....is that ok?

well hopefully they were damaged to much from the light and come back for you, i started with my lights 9" off top of water and have gone to 11" better coverage and not as strong.

I also noticed with the hydra's that I have some really bright area's (spot light) on top of some high rocks. I moved my poker star monti down as I saw some bleaching.
I think that looking to see were your corals are located is also a big part of the acclimation.
right now my readings are @ high noon
white: 50% @ 4hrs
red: 50% for 2 hrs
green: 60% @ 3hrs
RB: 80% @ 6hrs
DB:80% @ 6hrs
violet:80 @ 4hrs
UV: 50% @ 3hrs

I am still in acclimation mode in week 2 @ 40%

I am trying to mimic sunlight levels @ 2 meters (6ft) My lights are 10inch above water.

I am thinking that I will be lowering my blues to 70%

no ill effects (small bleaching on pokerstar monti) - have noticed accelerated growth on all sps
