So hard to get a good picture... As far as growth, I received some frags which were receding and have completely regrown in thirty days time.

Does anyone know if you can grow clams under these guys? Looking to grow the maxima clams in specific.
 
+2 on difficulty of taking good quality pics. Its almost imposible lol. BUt these lights look so sexi. My tank is no lie 3-4 weeks old . My cycle was quick sinc i took a little tupeware container from my buddys 5 yr old tank. Test water every 2 days, with salifer test kits. All sps are doing amazing, and growing nicely. I have even revived 2 frags that were practically dead at my buds tank.

Apex displayed at macna this week the new AWM unit for AI lights like the Vegas, hydras and the new hydra52s. It will be available 4th quarter and cost $129.
 
Iam looking to buy some leds. Iam hesitating between Ai hydra and Ecotech radion gen2. How many hydra I would need for a 4x2x2 ?
Is 3 will be enough ?

So i think i figured out how to get some not so over exposed pictures with my camera phone for now until i can play with my point and shoot.

On my HTC Droid DNA:
Exposure 0
Contrast 0
Saturation -1
Sharpness 0
and depending on the brightness of the lights ISO 400 for kinda bright or 800 for darker.
White Balance: Cloudy

Here is a shot of an Aussie red toothed brain i added on Sunday. It is the best i could get that resembles the colors with the light intensity.

Mine are doing well. You can see some example pics earlier in the thread.

No issues so far as they seem to be acclimated well. They are no longer burning (radium is the sun).

I have not acquired a blue colored SPS yet though, and need to soon. Donations are welcome.. for science! :)
 
I just order 3 Hydra units for my 120g 48x24x24. If I need more light, I will order a fourth one.
I really enjoy these new toys.

just mounted the hydra on my shallow tank 36x24x12. im fine with one since coverage is 36x36...the ext raill is a lil wiggly from left to right. im wondering if I just need to tighten the screws on the rail a bit. love the look of the lights tho!
 
Ditching the hydra... I have 2 of them, month old or so... White case on them 325$ each shipped Midwest or east cost.. California or west coast might need to add some shipping to
Think I might go back to the sols... Tank just not doing well with them... Color is amazing but my sps got fried, and I think I just need to take a step back...

What is the issue you a re having linking them? Also can you post a pic of your's over the 180? I think I might need 4 as well to cover under the braces.
