Aiptasia killed my nems

Bought some new rock from florida liverock... stuffs gorgeous but came with aiptasia i bought some peppermint shrimp to eat them off but a few large ones remained. This weekend my family went away and when we returned my gigantea was dead stung to death and my arora was stung in half... I have the aurora in a QT tank trying to nurse it back but i fear its to little to late..

Very sad week its tough losing things you've cared for...
now I need to remove these things asap as my clowns seem miserable without their nems...

How do you know your gigantea was stung to death by the aiptasia? I find that very hard to believe unless you plopped the gigantea down in the middle of a large patch of aips.

Agree, never heard of or experienced this, and I've had a pretty serious aptasia breakout in the past w/ no affect on any nems.
Might want to list specs/params, time running on tank.
Klein BF's are an option, as CBB's though they are more difficult to keep.
Peps are hit or miss.

my calcium levels were low but i have since raised them, my gigantea if you check my other posts wasnt healthy i tried to save it but couldnt... by the end it was just wandering around the tank when i came home he was under a rock under a large aiptaisa dead. I would never intentionally put anything into harms way especially an investment such as my marine aquarium.

Even a healthy gig can be difficult to keep, it most likely died of other causes, aptasia was merely a coincidence IMO.
