air stone

I never use an air stone, how bad is that? when I mix new water I throw a mag 5 in there to mix the water, is that good enough? in my 75g I have 4 maxi jet 1200's and a mag 7 as the return pump so i'm getting enough flow but do I need to throw a air stone in there to push some oxygen in the water?

I don't use an airstone. I just use small pumps to move the water around also. Yea, you should be getting enough oxygen.

No one I know in saltwater tanks uses an air stone.
just make sure the PH is breaking the surface water and your O2 should be OK.

Agreed, also the airstones will cause salt spray/creep all over everything.

Only application I can think of for an air stone in a marine system would be in a skimmer.
Your water is oxygenated by "gas exchange" happening at the surface of the water. Nitrogen leaves, and oxygen comes in. In order for this to happen, there has to be some sort of friction breaking the water's surface.

Your post was pointless, and inappropriate. Use caution if you attempt it again.-
