Can someone please help me with this stuff. I cant tell if its cyano or algae. Tank has been set up for about 2 months after a move and its just gone nuts. I cant seem to get rid of it. I can pull it out with my hands. Please see my pic in my gallery. Thanks!

(1) New tanks will almost always have algae blooms in the first few months...

(2) You can always check out a good cleanup crew of crabs, snails, etc...

(3) or your best bet is to setup a refuguim (few benefits below)...
- Place for algae to grow
- removes nitrate, nitrite, and phosphates
- safehaven for small critters (cocepods, starfish, etc...)
- Natural food source of tangs and other algae eaters

wow the other guys know so much with so little details

i have never pulled cyano out with my hands lol

if we dont know more how can they help you

Well i was just looking for an identification on the stuff so I can figure out how to treat it. Im thinking my di filter is bad, that may be the culprit. Thanks
