all glass 40gal

Can you drill out a 40 gal allglass tank. I am not sure if they are tempered or not.

I'm not positive but I think the bottom is usually tempered and the sides are not tempered on All-Glass 40's. Usually the bottom glass will have a sticker saying if its tempered.

I contacted all-gllass on this same question and I was told that they are not tempered on the bottom. You can click on my red house link to my web site and see what I did for my frag tank. Its at the bottom of the construction page.
