All these sales of Todd's makes me wonder!

First off I want everyone that can to post a picture of their Todd's Torch. I have recently witnessed a case where two people received a TT had it in their systems and then put them both together into one system. The TT both look similar but have obviously morphed to different shades and hues. Now, I know corals change color over time depending on conditions; lighting, parameters, flow but will they change back to a similar color if left in the same tank for a long time? As I ask the question I can let everyone know the answer in hopefully 6 months to see if anything happens.

So regardless of my blabbing on. Let's see everyone's TT to see if we can tell some different colors.

Disclaimer:We know that Todd's Torch is just a name to a beautiful specimen. It is local to URS and we deeply love our TT. Hopefully everyone's TT is legit and nobody got screwed.:furious:

IMO it's not a TT unless it can be traced back to Todd's (or Tom's) Torch. (Todd originally got the coral from Tom).

FWIW there are certain Torch Corals that are as nice as T's and they're probably the same coral as T's.

He's a little guy...

Walter is the one who told me, and I for one believe him. I think the TT looks its absolute best under VHO's. So few of us are actually running them these days it seems...

however, it isn't lineaged to todd... I believe it originated from Toms TRS 180. lineage to SDC?
at one point, i put a lineage todds torch in the same tank, its much more pale in color, and has thinner tentacles, though the tentacle issue could be a flow/water conditions thing.

lineage TT to compare

as you can see, my new torch in the top set of pics, doesnt need a POWERBRITE to be ultra GREEN

I got mine from Kien in Rochester,if I would trust anyone to get good specimens Kiens the man..

And It is now my Torch, therefor it is a Todd's Torch..a real one lol

All of these pics are of the same exact piece I got from Playfair years ago but in different tank setups and lighting that I've had. As you can see, yes, the coloration can vary but it is always still unmistakeable in my opinion.

I will take a picture to show everyone. I'm def interested though in all the pictures and ideas. I, unfortunately, do not even have a Todds Torch but I hope to have a small frag one day. My Solana is taking the Torch theme and I love it! lol

Awesome pictures so far everyone! You can tell it's a Todd's for sure. It even darkens as it nears the ends before the "bulb" tip.

Hey Mike,It can be pretty hard to tell, some people thought that one I have on the left in my pic was a dull colored TT because it looks just like one..long flowing arms, the white tips..But that one is just a regular torch I got from Diver's den some time ago..It makes a nice pair with the TT
