allelopathy and SPS growth

Question: If you want to have robust SPS growth, do you have to limit yourself to only SPS corals? which LPS's are OK and will not inhibit growth? Are leathers bad? Mushrooms? zooanthids/palythoas? I'm having a very frustrating growth problem and have a very diverse collection with no doubt some chemical warefare going on.

I have sps (acro, monti, and porites) along with acans, micromussa, cyphastrea, goniopora, zoanthids, protopalythoa, caulastrea, favites, ricordia yuma and florida, green star polyps and red and blue mushrooms. My growth is very good. I have to keep the mushrooms, gsp, and ricordia picked back or separated or they will sting the bases of the sps, but no apparent allelopathic interactions. The sps are having some growth interactions, one wins - one loses but just at local sites. I do not run carbon, just a skimmer.

i have a couple hitch hiker mushrooms that are near some of my sps and no visible damage is being done. the sps are growing just fine. if i could, i would rather have them far from each other to prevent any chemical warfare that could happen.

from reading, i think leathers are the worst when up against sps.

the worst chem warfare ive heard about is leathers, which is why ill never keep them. Most people who SPS HARD dont like softies or LPS as much becuase they grow way to fast and are like weeds
