Alternative to a Mag12

Interested in changing from a mag12 as occasionally it gets stuck when power is off and I have to knock it to get it started

What do you reccomend that has similar footprint

I had the same issue with my mag5. Turns out calcium deposits for kalk caused the impeller to get stuck. I would recommend taking it apart and giving it a good cleaning.

If your using it to feed a Skimmer the Reef Octopus is not an option. I looked into them to feed my Lifereef Skimmer and found the following on the Reef Octopus website

Note: This is not a pressure-rated pump. This pump is not for second floor applications or to feed Beckett or downdraft skimmers where constant pressure is required.
