Alternative to tropic Eden reef flakes?

Hello, I currently have a 90 gallon full reef with fine sand (I regret it with the sand storms). I recently purchased a used 120 and I am buying things to upgrade the tank. The new tank is going in the same place as the current tank so I am looking for live tropic Eden reef flakes. Unfortunately I can't find them anywhere but premium aquatics which they are sold out. Does anyone know of any alternative brands which are similar to reef flakes? I need it to be live because it's going to be a same day transfer. I did this when I upgraded to my 90 from my old 55 with zero loss. Thanks in advance

Look into special grade reef sand, looks great and the size is just right to not blow around in decent flow. Ive never used reef flakes though so i cant compair the 2

There is nothing that compares to Tropic Eden Reeflakes. I was in a rush when I set up my current tank and used Carib Sea Special Grade. Compared to Reeflakes it is total junk. I just ordered some Reeflakes from premium on Thursday. They still have the 30lb bags in stock right now. Can't wait until next week when I can start switching it out.

Arent the 30lb bags dry sand? I would need it live because I am doing a tank upgrade switch so no time to let it cycle. Would using dry sand be ok? I will have plenty of aged live rock in the system but I just dont want my clean up crew to die off or my sand dwelling wrasses/mandarin to suffer. Thanks

None of the live sand that you can buy is really live in the sense that it contains microfauna that would be consumed by fish. It really just contains dormant bacteria. The dry stuff is just fine to use for a tank switch. I would just rinse it well to get rid of the dust.
