Am I crazy?

I plan on using 3x6100 and 2x6200 on my 180 6x24x24 BB sps tank .

BTW my current 120 has 3x6100 and a 3000gph closed loop .The corals like the flow.

How much heat can I expect to add to my system with an ambient room temp of 78?

My goal is to keep the same turnover rate that my 120 has but with out the heat of my closed loop which adds 3 degrees to my tanks temp .Which in turn made me buy a chiller.

Anyways I was thinking of using the 3 6100's up top 1 in each corner and one in the right front corner pointing across the length of the tank.

Then a 6200 in each bottom corner aimed towards the rockwork keeping it clean behind there. I figured with them being the strongest they would still produce great flow even though they will be blowing thru and around the rocks.

Does this all sound good or crazy.

TIA

It sounds OK. I think it is alot of flow but I know others have done it. It is difficult to figure the temp, it depends how many pumps run at a time. I would guess you will probably save 1 degree over what your present set up runs.

wow so 2 6200's will put out almost as much heat has a large 170w external pump :(

I was going with the 6200's so I wouldn't have to do all the closed loop plumbing that I did on my 120 and was hoping that I wasn't going to need a chiller because of pumps. I will still have a chiller just didn't wan't to see it run all the time.

Thanks

Oh BTW I have the 7095 and 2 singles . How would you set them up ?I also have a spliter if needed.

I can't say for sure so I am giving a very high side estimate- their are too many variables. How much the pumps will be running, how high the power is but yes, 2 6200 are 124W so it would be pretty close if both run full time, full power.

THX

BTW Roger where can I get the lil attachment that has the clip that hooks to the rail or magnet for holding them . I lost 1 :(

Not the arm thats on the Tunze but the other piece.
