Am I cycled?

Been cycling for 4 weeks now. Some of you guys may already know my circumstances. Diatom bloom has been and appears gone.

temp 78
alk 10.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates (no more than 10 going by Salifert scale)
PH 8.0
Can't say about Calc or Mag as not tested.

I did have to cycle with approx 50% live rock sand and water from a smaller tank.

Had a CUC of Cerith and Red leg Hermits fot a week now and all going good also seeing several feather dusters.

Question is does it sound as if I'm cycled

Have you been ghost feeding the tank? How much? What's the highest Ammonia reading you've seen, and how long did it take that to reach zero?

You can test your cycle by putting in an ammonia source to 2ppm and, if it ends up 0 in 24 hours then yes you are cycled.

If you have a CUC in there now I would not spike the ammonia, may not turn out well.

It sounds like you transferred to another tank. If this is the case and your rock was good in that tank then I would say your OK. Just go slow adding livestock. Good luck just my 2 cents worth.

What did you use to aid in your tank cycle? Uncured live rock, damsel fish, piece of shrimp from the supermarket?
