Am i overstocked?

2 yellow watchmen 3.5"/2"
1 kole tang 4.5"
1 sailfin tang (red sea)1.5"
1 Sixline wrasse 2"
1 pygmy angel 2.5"


Inverts
sea cucumber 1'
2 peppermint shrimp 3"
60 hermits
10 snails

many corals

Filtration
----------------------

Coralife super skimmer 125-rated for 125 gallon
whisper 40 HOB- rated for 40 gallons
UV sterilizer-rated for 125 gallon
roughly 35X turnover

so............ am i overstocked?


if not what else could i get?

suggestions?

Yes, I believe you are at about your limit. I personally wouldn't do more than one tang in a 75. A sailfin will outgrow your 75 quite quickly. If you got rid of the sailfin, you would have enough room for maybe one or two more small fish.

You shouldget a bamboo shark, and maybe one opf those Naso Tangs......lol...hahaha, I think you got enought in there Dan, you have a very nice tank, awesome fish, and your clowns and the anemone is just the best...cant wiaet to come over and see it again.

I think you're fine with that list- Kole tangs don't get quite as large as other tangs out there but I wouldn't try to put anymore large fish in there. as long as your water quality is holding up and you felt you just had to get one more something tiny like a goby or blenny would probably not tip the balance too much but you dont want anything to compete for space i think

i know about the tang and hopefully... by next year..... a upgrade to a 125 can be made. ive been trying to slowly ease my dad to it

lol yeah i am going to get a wet dry from seht even though i really would rather have a sump. o well and my dad didint care if i went bigger. he just says i pay for it all

Have you seen a sump before? It looks like an aquarium or just a rectangle that can hold water... You can put divisions in it to separate out areas say, for a refugium.

The divisions - they have many configurations depending on your needs - are what we term as baffles
