Ambient Temperature?

Hello,

I don't have an Apex yet but am seriously considering one. I have a few questions based on what I plan to do with my system. Perhaps one of you gurus can let me know your thoughts/experiences?
  1. Can a temperature sensor measure ambient air temperature, or does the probe work only underwater?
  2. How far apart do the temp, pH, ORP, and conductivity sensors need to be? Would mounting the probes in a single "multi-probe holder" cause issues?
  3. Are there any "Apex-Ready" dosing systems?
  4. Is it best practice to plug everything into EB8s, or can things like Vortech pumps and AI lights that can be controlled via modules be plugged into plain old power strips?
Thanks!

It works just fine in air and liquid.

As close or far as you want. I have them in a 3-probe magnetic holder, no problems.

Are there any "Apex-Ready" dosing systems?

Not at this time.

Your choice. I (personally) connect everything into EB8s if only to have reporting on current draw and the ability (if I need to) turn off power to anything I want. Even if the outlet is programmed to be always on. You can choose what you want.
