Ammo Chips in Quarantine Tank?

So I'm setting up a quarantine tank and was wondering whether Ammo Chips (which I believe are made from zeolite, an adsorbent) would work as a filter media (in addition to a seeded sponge filter). Specifically, would ammo chips interfere with or deplete medications (Prazipro and chloroquine phosphate) that I'll be using? If so, I'll stick with water changes and Amquel if I have an ammonia problem.

Just found the answer to my question. According to Randy Holmes Farley, ammo chips don't work in saltwater. So that moots my question.
