Update: I lost all of the first collected spawn (probably due to my inexperience). I am doing much better with the second batch which is now on Day #7. At least 20 and probably closer to 30 fat fry remaining. The fry have proved to be exceptionally light sensitive (at least compared to what I have read about other clownfish fry). Any light stronger than the dim 100 watt ceiling light has 2/3's of the fry trying to swim in to the bottom of my rearing tank. They also go after any reflections off the sides of the tank (which are black, but still reflective). I am feeding baby brine now along with the rotifers. We should have meta in 4-7 days. I am hopeful I will have ready juveniles by the end of June.
There is also a new nest that was layed on Saturday, so the pair is keeping a regular 13-14 day cycle. I haven't decided whether to collect it or not.
On a side note, my oblique lined dottybacks (Cypho purprascens) spawned and I collected the "egg ball" today when I saw eyes. The eggs hatched shortly after dark. We'll see how I do with these guys...
