First of all, i've got a few NPC in my 16Litre pico cube so my regime is to feed them with a dosing pump 16 times a day with blended plankton food ( 4ML each dose and approximate 70ml per day).
The recipe is
phytoplankton(concentrated)
dried rotifer dried cyclop (each 0.05ml)
reef pearl powder(0.1 ml according to the guidence)
oyster feast(0.4ml according to the guidence)
rotifer feast(0.4ml, according to the guidence)
blender with seawater(400ml)
Every time i prepared the food solution for 400ml so that theoretically i could feed 5 days approx.
The blended solution is like this ( made after 5 min),this time it's really like solution
And the food is then put into the fridge to keep it from spoiled( the fridge is quite crap and able to merely freeze it to 9 ℃ at which food may spoil but slowly).
Occassionally after 3 days(today) i changed the food by whim and found the food has changed a bit which made me quite interested. The food appearance is like this:
The picture is a bit blur but i could say that there are really tiny and floated particals in the turbid liquid. A bit like reef snow isnt it? The size of the partical is ofcourcse small(dont know what size exactly but really small as live rotifers)
This made me think the formation of reef snow (a main nutrient source for many NPC) and also if it is better to keep the food somedays to let them form a bit "turbid". There is a not clear picture of both food liquid as below:
The left cup which holds a stirring rod is the fresh one. The right cup with a syringe is the 3-days later food. You can see the "green" doesnt change a lot however the matters do change
Any ideas pls say~~~Share your view..Forgive my poor english... Happy discussion :lmao:
