I don't have Chorisquilla hystrix on my list, but it is occasionally found in LR. I have never seen one for sale in an LFS, but I'm sure sooner or later one will turn up. This animal was taken on Lizard Island. Maximum size reported for the species is 26 mm.

Amazing! Roy, what is that on his rear telson? Is that similar to the Urchin mantis you have on your list? The first one there?? It is very interesting, and I woud like to know more about it! Maybe an addition to your list?

The telson of C. hystrix is covered with long spines. I have no idea what function this serves.

That is one of the neatest stomatopods I have seen. The spines on the telson are what really caught my eye.
