An unfortunate thread - because it is my first, and not how I had envisioned it.
As a student I live in a house with other young cowboys like myself. Yet none share my passion for aquaria...
Basically, I left tonight for a few hours and upon arriving home found my live rock half exposed to the air as my water level in my 10G dropped to around 50%.
I added a maxijet400 this afternoon however nothing else has changed. Salinity and temperature remained nearly the same in the reduced water level tank. The maxijet was sucking air only when I came to the rescue.
-As i could find no trace of water on the floor/desk, is there any way extra flow and surface turbulence could have accounted for 5g of evap. in a matter of hours? (I think not, or else my salinity would be throught he roof)
- Will my exposed rock of ~4 hours have to re-cycle? and thus destroy my livestock?
ahh. This post may seem erratic. I think I have been sabotaged.
