And now for something completely different

Being a photog I like to play around. Recently I picked up a 55+ year old Russian made Leica copy for a whopping $35. Of course I had to do some B&W retro shots with it and even took one of my tank. This is straight from the negative with no tweaking or photoshop.

I hope some of you enjoy a bit different of a look!

Kodak 400 TX which is the old tri-x 400.

I have taken the lens from this old camera and used it on my Sony NEX7 and noticed a very distinct look to the photos. It would take a fair amount of photoshop to imitate.

I have 3 rolls of kodak c-41 process b&w that have been living in my refrigerator door for years. I don't know if it's still good, but it's been kept cold the whole time. Yours for the taking if you want it =)

That's pretty cool. I gather you do the developing yourself?

Was this shot before they invented color tanks?

I think I'm going to go watch an episode of I Love Lucy.

I use a place in Cali that develops and scans with free shipping both ways for $10 a roll.

I am actually using B&W lights on my tank.

Funny you mention I Love Lucy as I was watching that earlier today!

I do make it up to the Ahwatukee area several times a week, just let me know. It's going to just continue chillin' for now =)
