and the setup begins!!

O hmm I wanted an anomone for my clowns... Why are things not recomended for beginners? I can do anything anyone else can. So I don't get why people say that

it the old wise saying that nothing good ever happens with a marine aquarium, patience is the key to success

i think kane gave you a good link on lighting earlier in your thread, why not go back abit and read what he posted, for what its worth i use t5s, however halides are very good too

So there both good? Just a personal preferance? Also can't really find a sump diagram but do I need a filter for my sump?

If you setup a fuge that, the skimmers and reactors etc. should be the only source of filtration. Go on the link I gave you to Melevs Reef, he has many great sump designs.

still dont understand half the stuff in the sump baffels? and phosbane reactors? what is a reactor? someone said i didnt need one and said fuges are better? how to i make a over flow box if i drill it myself?!?! please help!!

and will this ro/di work well? and do i just use this to fill the tank or can i have it hooked up somehow?
the 199 one

You need the RO/DI to fill the tank, do water changes and top offs etc. Never hook it up to your tank that can cause a very unwanted catastrophae.

theres too much info you still need, id suggest reading some threads for a while, we all love to help new guys like you and im happy your here on RC but i think if you look at the links at the top of the forum then a lot of questions will be answered, fudges are great however i dont have 1 yet i run a reactor in a sump, its easy but you need to read a bit more, good luck my friend and im sure it will all come right for you

i have been looking for this stuff but i just dont understand some of it all im asking for is a pic of a laid out sump and a description of what each part is why its there and what it does

ok well i still dont get some of this how does to much water not get sucked out of the sump and into the tank? is that why you hvae a overflow box? can i just have my skimmer in one 20 gallon tank and then just fuge set up in the other? how do i pump just enough water back in the tank?

The link to Melevs Reef will explain everything you need to know about sumps. Also look at some of the ReefKeeping articles.

Well you are right lol I clicked on more links which helped a lot!! So my return pump rate needs to be my overflow rate? Correct?

If you look at some 125 or some around that mark build threads you should get the idea of what you need. I'll link you to a few. I'll just gather them up.
