This is a company that posted on craigslist (and someone posted here). They wanted reefers to come and interview for market research. So I called and checked them out (they are a legit company from Cleveland that invents new products and does market research for other companies). They came out today with a camera crew and three interviewers and asked me lots of tank set-up and reef keeping questions and they actually wanted to hear me go on and on about the hobby (theres a switch)! The interview was about an hour and a half and then they gave me an envelope with a $100 bill in it for my time. They also said that they would like to use me in the future for other projects possibly including an "expert pannel" for other research.
They said the above link will soon be taken off of craigs list because they are nearly finished with interviews. I posted so that anyone interested can give them a call. They also would like to talk to those who keep automated/computer controlled systems.
The company is called Nottingham Spirk design assosiates in University circle. PM me if interested and I will pass on info for those interested. Pretty cool...they think I'm an expert dude:D huh huh...huh..huh huh

Yes an agreement to not divuldge anything we discussed (if we spoke of products in development), but we did not so they said the for was a formality for my interview. I read the who thing (pretty short).

They also said that the video was not for advertising but would only be used for the company who contracted them to view and develop products.

Or to scope out your place to rob you blind. LOL

Yeah they were here also and I was paid my $100.00 for my time.
Now I think I will go to salty critter and blow it all. You know I should keep the money within the hobby.
Just kiddin it's an addiction like I told the survey crew.

As I said above, I checked the company out and THEY ARE LEGIT. One thing is for sure, having kids in the house I don't take any chances. I spent a good amount of time reading about them also and called the company to verify the person who scheduled me actually worked for the company, she did. They were extremly profesional and all business. three ladies (all attractive) and 1 camera man (with a real camera). I would use them again if they called.
