Anderson Family Reef - 1200 Gallon System

danfeig - with your sweet tank you could use a second one!

It blows my mind that you can feed your fish from your phone anywhere in the world while watching them eat on your webcam!

Did you have to do some adjustment for the small pellets? I put some small ones in and they seemed to just fall through it. I loaded it up with flakes till I can get it adjusted...

bradleyj - I have always enjoyed your tank and usually it's one of a only a few tanks I take the time to go see on the Reef Tour each year!

Thanks for checking out our thread! I have spent plenty of time looking at yours: http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index.php/current-issue/article/109-tank-of-the-month

I'm always game for a mini reef tour! Fu's tank is looking good these days and so is Cliff's so let's go check them out!

I need to come see yours in person so I can see all those sweet fish you keep beating me to the purchase of here locally! :lol2: I love your pictures on FB too! Oh yea I would love to watch a game or two in your man cave sometime and talk fish in between plays!

You are welcome to come by anytime! I would enjoy picking your brain on a few things system related! Bring your camera!!!

I get to play fish most nights after I get the kids to bed...it's my wind down time!

Reef on brother!

Oldude - your tank is amazing and so is your acro collection! Oh and so is your chalice collection and so is your... and so is your... and so is your...you are rocking it buddy!!!

I have larger pellets and some flakes mixed in. I tightened the roller as much as I could. I occasionally have a few smaller pellets drop out if I slam the fishroom door or knock into the feeder.

I love your acrylic holder. I mounted my feeder on the steel brace surrounding my tank using industrial velcro.

Thanks for your generous remarks. You are welcome to lurk around on my thread anytime. ;)

I think you're rockin' it more tham I am. Anyway keep up the good work!

Thanks, I will look to tighten up the roller on it a little more..

That is a great idea. I used that same velcro to mount my 4 sea swirls on the 750 the first time I set it up. That stuff works great!

I also took note of your dosing set up you just posted. That looks like it works great too! I may lean on dosing here in the near future when my corals get to the size of yours! :lol2:

Nice ideas Buddy!

Hey Dca been following along. Beautiful tank for sure and even more impressed with your DIY skills. I am in the process of planning my build for a 200+ mixed reef and I saw your brother has one. You mentioned earlier that you would talk to him about his fish list. Did you ever get one? I would love some ideas on the capacity for a tank in that range and have enough room for everyone to swim...I cant get to your range but the 200 plus range is where i am headed...Thanks again, also when I get into the nuts and bolts I hope you dont mind a few PMs from time to time...You have more in your brain than most of the LFS I have ever been in...Nice job!

Thank you for checking out our build!

I just sent in your request to my brother for a current fish list of his 225 reef.

Funny thing is that I even thought today that a 225 gallon reef with carefully selected corals and fish would totally scratch the itch of a sweet manageable reef!

Please reach out anytime and I would love to share with you what I know and have learned over the years. ;)

I enjoyed all the vids, DC.

I think bullitr has over 100 fish in his tank. You have some catching up to do!

Awesome videos Dave. Thanks for sharing. It will be great to measure how much your corals grow over the year. How many Purple Tangs do you have?

Thanks Dan! I'm excited to see the progress as well!

I have 3 purples, 4 yellows, and a scopas in the zebrasoma family...(I had 2 yellows get beat up and died, crazy!) I have three sm/md yellows in quarantine right now too...
