Totally agree! I love the planning and excitement of building out a new reef system! I learned a ton from this build and look forward to making the next one even better!

My pleasure! I have enjoyed your build thread as well and for that I thank you!

Great thread, awesome tank and enjoy your son being so helpful by adding his toys in the sump. lol

Thank you too!

Hehehe yes for sure! He has been a little rulers and way too helpful at times!

Found a few rounds of lucky penny's in the sump over the last few years!

Look forward to enclosing the next sump out of reach of the little dude!

Beautiful tank.

Do you have the Orca III up and running? I am setting up a large tank and am considering this skimmer, how do you like it?

For your next tank. Put in a pool and just turn it into a reef tank. That's my vote.
Sorry to see it go but I am thrilled for you, being able to plan for something better in the future.

Dan, I have thought of doing that! Pool, with a viewing panel! Great minds think alike! Thanks for your support! Can't wait for the next build!

Not many people can say they upgraded FROM a 1200 gal system with a ten foot tank.
You're going to have a blast!
Daniel.

Hehehe! Good point! Thinking of siliconing the seams in my basement and just filling it up with saltwater! That would work great! Then the tang police would be off my back!

Congrats on the new build, very exciting.

I am looking for reviews on the MRC Orca III, do you know anyone who is using this skimmer?

Moved all remaining fish and corals to the frag tank!

ready to pull the plug on the big dog...

It's like walking into an empty home you've lived in for some time. The family is gone and you're the only one left. Good luck with the new project.
