So I came home this evening to find my Feather duster about 1/3 of the way of its tube. I figured this is a bad sign, so I take my turkey baster and give the worm a little nudge and it retracts quickly back into its tube, but not all the way.
So I make a mixture of reef plankton and Dt's and do a little direct feeding, then proceed to eat a little dinner. After I eat I go back to the tank to see it again a bit further out of its tube. I decide to do a little research, so I again use the turkey baster to encourage it back into its tube, and hope on the computer to see what is up.
After a bit of research I come to the conclusions, that even though some had said that the work will relocate and build a new tube, most have experienced the worm dying shortly after it leaves its tube (although mine still had its crown),
So the lights go out on the tank before I can get back to it. I grab my red LED flashlight, shine it at the tank and notice that the tube looks vacant. After a bit of a search I realize that the worm floated into my Anme (h. Mag) and it was in the process of consuming the worm, crown and all. So, has this happened to anyone before, and if so any idea weather this could kill the anem? Any guidance is appreciated
Thanks
